There are many bars and restaurants in Santa Maria, all offering something different, but we are the only rooftop terrace bar. You will find us on Rua 1 de Junho, on the left hand side, about 50 yards past the Town Square, on top of the Irish Connection Property Shop.
Take the stairs up to our cozy rooftop music bar where a warm welcome awaits you. Small but perfectly formed, with a direct view to the stars, ambient surroundings, comfortable and relaxing seating, a wide selection of beverages, and live music every night.
We are open Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 7pm until late so don’t miss the opportunity to visit us if you are only here for a week.
We aim to please with a starlit sky and live music with a different vibe every night. You might hear jazz, traditional and contemporary Cape Verdian music, reggae, Brazilian, blues, classic ballads, soul, African music and much more…
Visiting musicians are most welcome, just turn up with your instrument or your voice and we will make music.
We welcome everyone, usually we have a good mix of local residents, tourists, and ex-pats and of course all nationalities here in the melting pot of Cape Verde. Solo travellers come by and have a chat, a beer and an update on all that is happening in Santa Maria.
If you are lucky you can ask our barman to perform card tricks for you or rap along with whoever is playing, or our resident sax player to play you a tune! You can view and even buy some local art in our relaxed atmosphere.
We are also available to hire for private parties and can open any other evening of the week on request.
